Free Reading Online
Below you will find a list of websites that provide ebooks or downloadable books at no cost to you. Please feel free to explore any and all sites no matter the grade-level that it is matched with, most of these will be suitable for all ages, but grade-level was used to help point you towards the best options for you. Some of these sites will require that you subscribe to the site, but all of these have a free reading option available. The goal here is to find something fun to read that you will enjoy. So, explore your options and choose a book that interests you and is at your appropriate reading level. To check the reading level of a book that you have chosen, you can explore the Lexile Measurement Site: https://fab.lexile.com/ Your optimal level for reading was included on your Star360 Reading Test Results. Please let your teacher know if you need help finding your lexile recommendation or an appropriate book at your reading level.

Book Share is a site that provides free online reading to students with reading disabilities. Access any and all books that have ever been published and have the site read these aloud to your student. You will need to contact your teacher to have him/her setup an account in this site for your student.
While you do have to signup as a member to access books on this site, there is a free membership option that allows you up to five free downloads each month. There are tons of great books for children, teens, and adults on this site that will inspire you to keep reading and reading and reading.
Borrow books and read at the online library for free. You will need to create a free account to get started checking out books, but it will be worth it to have access to hundreds of free popular books. When you're done reading a book, digitally return it to the online library. You will have so much fun exploring and reading books on this site.
The Gutenberg Project is a collection of 54,000 titles of digitized literature as ebooks or downloads and available to you for free. Explore the site by author or check out the top 100 book list to find a book of interest to you.

The free readings that are available can be search by genre and/or author. You will have lots of fun reading on this site! From suspense and mystery with Agathe Christie, to horror with Stephen King, to adventure with C.S Lewis, you can't go wrong finding free reads on this site.

Many Books has modern and new releases available for free reading online or free to download to your kindle or kindle app. You can subscribe to this site in order to get notifications when new free ebooks become available. Some of these are free for a limited time, and some have a small cost associated with reading them. This is a great place to explore new adventures!
Scribd is a subscription service that allows you to read all the books you desire at any time with no additional cost outside of the subscription. They offer a 30-day free trial, so why not give it a try? Read all you can in 30 days and cancel anytime. However, keeping a service that allows you to enjoy reading about topics and genres that interest you, could also be a great addition to your life.

This site provides colorful and modern reading online for children from Pre - Kindergarten to 7th Grade reading levels. The site provides reading levels for books so you know what books to choose. The site saves your reading progress and your student earns rewards as they read. Ask your teacher for the class code so your student can start reading today.
Sign up for free in order to access reading passages for all ages. These reading passages are fairly short, are organized by both skill and grade-level, and have quizzes associated with the passages to help you gauge if your student is comprehending what he/she is reading. This is a great resource for teachers and parents!
